Taylors Vehicle Repair Centre is celebrating being amongst the best in Britain as the Kitemark Vehicle Body Repair scheme is launched to the British motoring public, who can look for and choose a Kitemark crash repairer that will deliver a safe quality repair just by looking for the Kitemark symbol. Taylors were awarded their Kitemark licence in May and have been proudly promoting their status ever since. Managing Director Paul Taylor said; "The accident repair Kitemark was created by the industry to address the increasing complexities of modern car manufacture. Launched by Thatcham (insurer funded research organisation) and BSI two years ago to provide the crash repair industry with recognisable and robust standards to work to, it has received support from across the industry and has been fundamental in raising standards. I am extremely proud to have achieved the BSI Kitemark; all my technicians are fully trained to Thatcham A.T.A pas 125 standard and have worked extremely hard to achieve this prestigious status. |
The Kitemark reassures our customers that their vehicles have been repaired safely and correctly." Britain's crash repair industry is the best in the world and intends to maintain its reputation. Cars are so much more sophisticated today, as there are no less than 10 different skills involved in a repair as well as numerous different and complex materials. The motorist may not always appreciate what is involved, for example, different materials need different adhesives or fixing techniques to ensure a safe quality bond and the motorist may not appreciate this fact. By choosing a Kitemark repairer the motorist can be reassured that the repair has been done safely, ensuring that it gives the same amount of protection as it did before the accident, the primary intention of all Kitemark crash repairers. "We are 100 per cent behind the introduction of the Kitemark," added Paul, "As a crash repairer it will enable us to assure our customers and the insurers we work with that the vehicles going through our body shop have been repaired using safe and demonstrable quality procedures." |
